On the occassion of the ENCJ General Assembly in the Peace Palace in The Hague (3-5 June) the European Commissioner of Justice, Vera Jourova, addressed the Members, Observers and Guests of the ENCJ. 

In her address she underlined the crucial role of the work of ENCJ for the promotion of effective justice in the EU. She continued that an effective justice system is not only crucial inside the EU, but beyound the borders of the EU as well. ENCJ could play an important in this regard. She also expressed her gratitude for the concrete and fruitful cooperation with ENCJ on the EU Justice Scoreboard.
